A defense official has confirmed that the Ministry of Defence is actively examining the possible security risks associated with Chinese cars, while personnel have been advised to refrain from talking about secret matters in all cars.

In a recent appearance on a radio station, a defence minister commented on claims that Ministry of Defence staff have been instructed not to discuss classified information while travelling in Chinese vehicles.
The minister stated that the ministry is “investigating” Chinese vehicles within its fleets, however emphasised that safety is a concern in all contemporary cars.
